Baba Ngom
Dr Baba NGOM is an associate Professor in Chemistry and environment at Ecole Polytechnique de Thies (EPT), Senegal. He teaches General chemistry, Engineering chemistry, and wastewater characterization and treatment.
Dr. NGOM holds a PhD in Bioengineering and Minerals Processing from Central South University, China. He has also a MSc in Process and and Environmental Engineering as well as a BSc in Chemical Engineering and Applied Biology from Ecole Superieur Polytechnique of Dakar (ESP), Senegal.
He is interested in water (wastewater) treatment, bioenergy, solid waste treatment and recycling, bioleaching process, GHG emission assessment, chemical and biological processes.
Besides SCARE project he is currently working on the following projects:
- Solid waste open burning
- Restoration and monitoring of degraded land in the Saloum delta of the groundnut basin in Senegal
