Professor Guy Howard
Professor Guy Howard is a water scientist and engineer with a background in policy and research in low and middle income countries. Before joining the University of Bristol, he spent over 15 years at the Department for International Development (DFID) in a variety of roles related to water services and management. For the last six and half years at DFID, he was the policy lead for water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) for the UK Aid programme. Global consortium SCARE
Dr Anisha Nijhawan
Dr Nijhawan is an engineer and research associate at the University of Bristol, specializing in water quality and safety, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. With a strong background in environmental engineering, Dr Nijhawan’s work focuses on developing and implementing practical solutions to ensure safe and reliable water access in regions facing significant public health challenges.
Olivia Reddy
Olivia is a final year PhD student who is researching greenhouse gas emissions from onsite sanitation systems in Sub-Saharan Africa. Working both as part of, and independently to the SCARE project, key themes are around quantifying emissions, the impact climate change may have on these systems, and how modelling can be used for both.
Dr Anjali M Sherpa
Dr. Anjali M Sherpa is a PhD student at the University of Bristol, specializing in environmental science with a focus on water and wastewater treatment, water quality, sustainability, and environmental pollution. Based in Nepal, her research is centered on addressing critical issues in environmental management and sanitation, aiming to develop sustainable solutions for improving water resources and mitigating environmental impacts.
